Ich habe in der halbzeit gesagt, dass vielleicht Deutschland will 4 tür schließen. Und ich bin richtig!

Danach, ich habe Feuerwerk am Rhein gesehn. Es war schön aber ganz windig ^^

Yes! Germany won 4:0 against Argentina! I did not quite believe that whatever I said during the half-time was going to come true! I said that Germany seems to love the number 4 lately since they won 4:0 to Australia and 4:1 to England, thus maybe this time they might have 4 goals too!

Oh, and did I forgot to mention something? I watch the match on tv with my host family and a family friend [with her daughter] who is currently staying at Kuala Lumpur because of work and came back to Germany on Friday for summer holidays! I guess they brought the Malaysian weather along because it started raining heavily [a thunderstorm, in fact] after Germany won the match! I missed Malaysian thunderstorm though - this summer in Germany is so sunny! No rain before yesterday's thunderstorm and today is back to sunny again...so hot-lah...

Anyway, the result was amazing and there were windy-fireworks at night along the Rhein river - in which has nothing to do with Germany wining but it was perfect timing [or day-ing? XD] It just so happened that the summer fireworks coincide with the football match on the same day [but the match was in the afternoon and fireworks are at night] I took some pictures of the firework even if it is lousy and can't take pictures well but considering how old it is, the "antique" digital camera did well.

Above is part of the chorus of a song sang by Oliver Pocher for Germany football team ^^ And do you know the Lukas Podolvski song? Lu, lu, lu, lu, Lukas Podolvski! And I don't really know why he has so many fangirls...good-looking? Maybe, he looks quite handsome. Good football-er? Yes, quite, can't deny that.

Oh well, I can't help being outdated but I am catching up now, not to mention that I have much more computer time now, owing to the kind-hearted new host family.

new place, new environment, new faces

I changed my host family. Thus, meaning that I might be in a totally new place in Germany, to me. Well, it is different.

Talking about this new home, the people are as nice as the previous ones and yes, I have my own room now. Nice view too. And the weather here is much hotter - in the afternoon, I could as well imagine that I am back in Malaysia. Oh, it has almost the least rain in Germany too. Nice place, I mean weather. But then, it means that I just wasted a lot of money buying a rain jacket. RAWR!!

Oh well, school here is really nice too but I still prefer the 2nd school I attended in Germany. What to do? There is always pros and cons. Anyway, this school is also a Gymnasium High School like the first school I attended [which is the highest level in Germany >.<]

Hmm...summer holidays starts only next week - the schools in the previous state I was in is having summer holidays now. I can't wait!

So, since this week is the last week of school, it is project week, or, in German - projektwoche. I joined a painting project for the cafeteria's ceiling at the last minute and was lucky that I can actually join a project since I just changed to this family last monday and entered this school last wednesday. And the project was officialy finished today ^^ tomorrow shall be the "open day" for people to come and see our "masterpiece" Heheh!

However, today was seriously a waste of time, since we had finished drawing and painting in the last 2 school days [to be exact it was 1 1/2 school days where 1 school day means from 0745 till 1245, which was quite a feat] I left for school at 0845 since we were supposed to be there by 0915 and I had to walk but then I had to wait for 2 trains to cross the street and ended up being just on time [normally it is around a 20 minutes walk and under the sun too!] We just needed to replace the boards of the cafeteria ceiling and we were done with everything by 0955.

Therefore, I walked 30 minutes to school, spent 40 minutes on project and then walked another 20 minutes back home. Nice day. And it was sunny too. Not my favourite weather when it is sunny and "superbly" warm, I meant steaming hot. Imagine walking on the street for 50 minute on a super-sunny-day-without-a-single-cloud-in-the-sky-in-summer. Okay, I ws exaggerating. There were some clouds but it is still amazingly hot!! Seriously, I was sweating so much when I finally got back home.

All right, enough complaining. Germany is a nice country with nice landscapes and nice people and very nice but also very expensive things. [unless you are talking about alcoholic drinks and chocolates] However, I guess I still prefer Malaysia more than Germany because I am used to it even if it is always much hotter but at least we have fans and air-conditioners and exhaust-fan.

morning dew

These days, the morning dews are so heavy... Or rather these few days.

On Monday [yesterday] the morning dew or mist was so thick that when I woke up in around 5 o'clock in the morning [early right? have to, no choice, if not no bathroom for me or late to school...] I could hardly see out of the window [and it is normally quite dark as they don't have much street lights] and when I walked to the bus stop at 6.30 am I could hardly see 500m around me. Thick, right? And cold too...

Anyway, it is spring now and according to the Germans, there will be more rain and I can quite agree that after last week's nice and *quite* warm and *quite* sunny weather, it is cold now but at least there is no more snow, for now :) [the last snow I saw was last week or last last week I think...]

So now it is like : gloomy skies - rain - a bit of sun - strong winds - gloomy skies - strong winds - rain - etc.

Very nice weather, at least, if it was in Malaysia...

and I really can use a rain-jacket if I have one, in which unfortunately, I have none...oh, and my blog can do with some updates too...*haih*

snow

So, I've reached Germany and I'm trying hard to keep up with the weather and temperature here.

Of course, snow is nice but it is very cold. It is supposed to be spring now but there is snow - for the first time in Germany. It snowed the night before we landed in Frankfurt airport and when we reached [on the 6th of March] it snowed again. We, the people from Malaysia were all like - woah! - but after 5 minutes of taking pictures and videos and staring like - Ö - at the snow falling, we were frozen [practically] and was "stowed" back into the airport for refuge to defrost [okay, I exagarated]

After that, I took a 2 hours and 15 minutes train to Kassel with Mala [who went down at another station before me] and a volunteer name Kathi from AFS Germany. I pity her and I feel very grateful to her because she stays near the train station where Mala went and she has to bring me all the way to Kassel [around 1 hours and 45 minutes from her stop] and wait for another train to bring her back home. I was welcomed by my family at the train station in Kassel and we took another 45 minutes of car journey to my host family's house which is big with a frontyard and a backyard [most importantly, they have heater in the house!!!]

I went to church the next morning and was brought around the town so that I know where is the bus stop and the shop and the bakery. And I spent the rest of my time at home warming myself because it is freezing cold outside. And I really do mean freezing cold as it is minus degrees outside. I really have to get used to life here.

On Monday, I started school at Wolfhagen and I really stood out a lot because I'm shorter than most people there and I have black hair and I have dark brown eyes and my features are flat and I look oh-so-asian and I can't understand what they are all talking about and I can't speak a word of German.

The good part is I haven't had any feeling of homesickness yet. Hope I can pick up German fast enough. So that is all for now.

Obviously you will think that a notebook is better and will cost much more compared to an electronic dictionary but no! It is almost the same.

I found out that the better electronic dictionaries cost around RM1500 while a cheaper but still good quality notebook [Acer hybrid / HP netbook] cost around RM1500 too.

I mean, seriously?!

I shopped for some winter things for the exchange using my dinner time when the weather is awfully hot and stuffy and damp [while it is and will be freezing cold in Germany] Of course, the whole complex was air-conditioned but it was still terrible to try on the scarfs and hats which made me sweat after a while. At the end of my dinner hour [before I return to my workplace] I bought :

1. an ugly looking woolen hat [I love blue but I hate its blue colour]

2. a pair of gloves [it is really comfortable]

3. a muffler [the thing I love the most]

After work, I am tempted to go back to the shop to buy another woolen hat. Well, I still am. Maybe I really should...

I changed my spectacles today. I got myself a new red and brown one [I seem to be getting a lot of red things lately - my prom dress was red] It is not as nice as I wanted my new spectacles to be but oh well, it is the cheapest I found. I would have preferred blue but parents says that I should get out of my blue-ish-ness...

Besides that, I tried a pair of *free trial* contact lens today. I doubt I will wear it often though, since my working time now is around 12 hours long [10 am to 10 pm]

Now that I can wear contact lens, I want a coloured contacts [best if it is freshlook colorblend sterling grey or gemstone green ^^" ]

Just came back from 1 utama to look at fireworks with family. It is really beautiful. Love it. Saw the most fireworks for the first time because we can see :

1. around 3 fireworks in the direction of ikea, ikano, cineleisure and the curve

2. the fireworks from tropicana city mall

3. around 2 fireworks in the direction of kuala lumpur

4. the fireworks from 1 utama [duh la...]

5. and some others that we don't know

I really do love window shopping and this time, I did it online! I found a really nice site with really cheap and really pretty stuff but it is wholesale based so i knocked the whole idea off [when my mom agree me to shop online for once too...] Oh well...

However, I came across the same website I visited quite some time ago - Irenelim Fashion. I had forgotten all about it. So anyways, I went there to take a look [there is always no harm taking a look] and I find that the prices are still quite reasonable and the quality still looks good.

I really like this. Too bad it is out of stock T-T

I went around almost the whole site and found this really cool link. Guess what? They are giving out free dresses and free delivery! Also, they are having RM 10 giveaways. So, people, act fast! And I shall resume my window shopping with my dad's super slow windows millenium...

prom night

I just want to tell the prom committees that there are people [including me] who are very unhappy, disappointed, unsatisfied and discontented. A lot of people feel very disturbed by the contents. I do not know who organized the programs [but I think my guess is correct] but I did not know that you were actually worse than bad - you are terrible.

Now, you all want us to pay off the deficit you all 'earned'? Let me be honest and tell you kindly that I will not pay it and if it is possible, I want my money back instead. It was your own fault that you calculated wrongly or over budget. You have wasted not only my time for prom and my money for the ticket but also the time, money and effort spent on things necessary for prom [for example my prom dress, accessories, makeup and hairdo] It could be the same for many other people.

I paid to go for a high school prom, not an 18-and-above-sex-entertainment-prom or whatever you think it is.

If you think that you are free after spm and high school, its fine. Imagine what the hotel people and all those people around think about us last night? And you dare to put our school name there? If I was the headmistress, I would not let you all in charge of this to get your spm certificates next year and will not recognize you as a student of the school. However, I am not.

Why not you think about what people will say about your bringing up? Your parents? Your family? Do you all have no shame?

It is fine if you say that I am too conservative or narrow-minded. I am proud to be a person with my ethics and moral. I am nobody but I just want you to know that I am truly disappointed in all of you. Shame on you.

To IX who did the opening dance performance, great job. You guys are the best.
Joel, Jou Ee, Sue Ann and Sheng Yang : you guys were right to walk away and as those who enjoy it say - be not 'sporting'

I really want to change this old computer at home! At least change the ram space...Goodness knows how many times I've restarted the hanged and jammed computer writing this post!

Anyway, from this few day's experience, I have learned that it is no use studying after an exam...nothing else gets in. Not exactly nothing but very little. I'm extremely tired now. Will study physics tomorrow. Wish me luck...

After reading about mei's post only did I remember that I went there too...just now, in the evening, after managing to convince my dad [since he didn't let me go last year] that it will be pretty much better [and cheaper] than the popular bookfest...

Anyway...I did not manage to find as much book as mei, or rather I did but most of them ended up being "thrown back" into the pile of books somewhere near the counter - I have a strict budget limit. I ended up with only 6 books and dang, I forgot the children's corner which according to mei it was a "genius children corner" or something like that [I may have found those books I was looking for...]

All in all, it was great to be there and I hope I can go again the next time and be able to buy more books [given that I'm still in Malaysia >.<>Dad managed to buy 3 really cheap books...he was quite content with them but he still think popular has more choice [which I agree, partly because the book fair wasn't really as organized as popular's]

Last night, I had chemistry tuition :
The tuition started at 8.30 pm as per usual...
There were only 2 form 5 chemistry students as per usual...
There were other students doing different subjects as per usual...
Teacher asked us to do our exercises as per usual...
Teacher checked on us a few times, asking her famous "can you do it?" question as per usual...
We did not ask many questions as per usual...
We talked while doing our things more than usual...
After an hour, I noticed that I only did several objective questions, which was certainly not very usual...
I only did one more objective question before the tuition ended around 10.00 pm, very unusual...
And I let someone take a picture for me! o.O Super duper unusual! [well, I was the side-subject but still...]

Yeah right. In fact I was bathing when the letter came [I just came back from school] and I had waited for it for one whole week!

The One Academy is organizing a comic art competition based on the upcoming movie The Storm Warriors, which is also based on the comic Fung Wan by Mr Ma Wing Shing. There are many prizes to be won, which also includes The One Academy scholarships, movie passes etc.

Mom came back from her trip to China just now. Along with her came a luggage bag full of new clothes for dad, brother and me. Sadly, they're all for autumn or rather more for winter - I bet they are felling very out of place in this hot, damp tropical country of Malaysia.

As you know, just one winter jacket takes up pretty much space. Mom bought me one, and I got another one from my uncle. Thus, I'm wondering how I can squeeze those into my wardrobe which is bursting...

a not-so-happy discovery

~~Sometimes,~~ life is harsh.

I just found out that I had scoliosis - a very sudden and accidental discovery, last night.

And so, we went to see the osteopathy shifu [master] in Sri Petaling. According to him, mine is quite serious and has been like this since young, or so he says. But quite true too [I knew it but my family didn't believe me every time I complained - until last night]

And so my body was twisted this way and that and oh, it became a little straighter. Few more therapies to go, says he. The price? Very expensive - few hundred ringgit, per therapy.

If you ask me how does it feels like, I'd say it hurts. I can practically hear the sound of my backbone cracking and crunching away when I was twisted and pulled and twisted and pulled in all sorts of direction and position.

Worst of all, I am banned from extreme sports, which means I have to quit taekwondo for now *sigh*

p/s : Sorry, Fiona and Ian. Looks like I'll have to stop for the time being. Help me inform sir please, thank you.

11.00 - meet at Borders, The Curve
11.15 - bought movie ticket at Cineleisure, grabbed a drink at McDonald's then went to look at electronic gadgets
11.45 - bought popcorn, went in to watch The Ugly Truth [supposedly 18pl but we passed!]
13.45 - did some window shopping [prices are always high as usual] and went to Ikano for lunch
16.15 - finished our steamboat [which was the longest lunch we ever had in our history]
17.00 - bought a ring with my name [noticed that the person did not carve my name properly only when I got back home...]
18.00 - got back home safely

All in all, we had a great day. The movie is not recommended for those who want to stay pure and angelic though - I bet you're bound to hear a lot of *beeps* if it is censored ^^"

Went back to grandma's house yesterday. Woke up by 5 in the morning to start the journey. It took us about 2 to 3 hours to reach grandma's house. Then we went to town to eat breakfast and walk around by the river. My brother took some pictures of monkeys and then we went to buy lunch.

After lunch, some more pictures were taken by my brother and we took an afternoon nap - we had nothing better to do. Then we went into the so-called garden beside grandma's house. The government should actually label it as a small forest reserve of herbal plants and insects. We even saw a toad hiding between some pandan leaves.

Then we went to my aunt's house and went to look for my brother's friend and
went to the shops to take a look - the things were pretty cheap [especially my present ribbons - the price is less than double of city price] and went back to aunt's house to chit-chat.

And then we went back home in the evening loaded with plenty of fruits from my aunt [as usual - she's a farmer]

All in all, it was a pretty boring day.

Oh - not really, I visited the boutiques in town - they were somewhat cheaper than in city =3 so me and mom each bought a shirt [prices range from RM20+ to RM40+] Nice. And I think the belts there are only RM10 per piece, which is pretty cheap! Of course, the quality is the same as other boutiques - they're made in china =]

Anyway, feeling very bohsong [unhappy in hokkien] about the sudden change in timetable. Although we get a school day off tomorrow, our last paper is delayed until next next monday, which is the day right after the holidays.

And I was thinking that I can enjoy the holidays. Physics too.

So, additional mathematics wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Modern mathematics was harder than usual but I'm pretty sure I'll get an A. Biology and chemistry had managed to k.o. me. And it was only paper 1 and paper 2. I doubt paper 3 will go easy on me.

The school suddenly informed us today that we are going to have additional mathematics [states paper] this coming monday instead of thursday. Great. So physics will be on thursday and I was looking forward to have it on monday so that I can have 2 days to study.

Oh well, I'm taking a break trying to crack the wall of my prison cell - and my head. I hope I won't end up being k.o.-ed by all papers.

Accounts wasn't that bad. I managed to finish both papers with an extra of half an hour left to check and recheck the paper but I shouldn't have changed the answer in paper 1... It was correct but now wrong... [*sigh*... why is it always like this]

However, my history and physics papers are dead.

On friday, I managed to release some stress by making a little bead gown in my 5 - star private cell [my room *duh*] I spent over 4 hours to get the end result as I impromptu-ed - I don't like following books. Then I made another different one in 3 hours plus and I love the second dress! Maybe I'll post the pictures some time after the trials.

Preparing for the third week of battle now. Coming up :
1) me vs additional mathematics [I might win]
2) me vs biology [I'm dead]
3) me vs chemistry [sure die also]
4) me vs mathematics [modern mathematics, if I don't win this I'm dead, get it? XD]

needles, needles, needles

I am not a pincushion!

I have been pricked and poked by needles with syringes 3 times this week! And it hurts... my hands are still numb.

Medical Centre [currently On the previous sunday, I took a mantoux test for tuberculosis at Subang JayaSime Darby Medical Centre but we are used to the previous name] quite useless, actually, since over 90% of malaysians are bound to be positive [we had the BCG injections when we were young] but I seem to be the minority... negative - yay! The money for x-ray is saved. However, it means that I might have to take the BCG injection again [*cry*]

Then, on monday, I went to Dr R's to take a blood test for hepatitis A and hepatitis B... I saw the syringe needle prick into my flesh then the blood filled the syringe. Suprisingly, it wasn't as bad as I thought but for the rest of the day, my right arm feels numb. The results? Negative, which means I have to take injections for hepatitis A and hepatitis B.

So, on friday, I went back to Dr R's and took the injection for hepatitis A and hepatitis B. Luckily, there is a new injection that combines both hepatitis A and hepatitis B so the total injections I have to take for this course is only 3, as compared to 5... My left arm is extremely numb and is aching, even until now... [*sigh*...] According to my dad who took the injection for hepatitis B few weeks before me said that it still aches a little. I hope it wouldn't affect my exam...

First week of trials have gone by - not very good [I was sick]

Now for the second week. Timetable? Tuesday, 1st september 2009 - history paper 1 & 2. A great start for the week. Which means that I should be studying now instead. But I'm not.

I wonder who created exams.

sick again : update

An update of my sick diary.

And so, I had another fever again last night, just as I predicted [that fever guy likes his mood swings] It was a little better than the previous night [37.6 degrees]

When my dad came back from work, he went into our garden and took a few leaves of herbs, boiled them in a cup of hot water for around 10 to 15 minutes. Then he placed it in front of me and let me tell you, I drank it before so I've had enough experience of it and was reluctant to drink it. Thus, he pretty much forced me to drink it in a gulp - but it's one mug full...

If you think the traditional chinese medicine you buy in those old herb shops are bitter, then you better not try this. The thing is, I love traditional chinese medicine, very much over modern western medicine [as my whole family does] I mean, this tea is traditional chinese medicine, fresh from the garden too [it's a herb] but the tea is really bitter, and I mean seriously BITTER!!!

For your information, my bitter taste buds are a bit less sensitive then normal - I found out when I was eating with my friends, but not with my family - they love bitter gourds... [except for my brother - and I only have one brother] My parents say it's probably because I'm *trained* from young - my mom love bitter things, and sour things too... So she always cooks dishes like these... And we eat them - without complaints... Weird family.

Anyway, I'm up and about now... The fever is totally gone since morning and only a slight sore throat from now - some phlegm though. Hence, you need not be afraid of me anymore ^^ However, I'm having a "wonderful" day of diarrhea...

And while being sick, this is my menu for three days :

Wednesday :
Since I wasn't feeling well only at night, I had normal mixed rice at a restaurant somewhere in Paramount for dinner

Thursday :
Breakfast - double dose of nutrition drink [my mom forced me to drink, although I'm already packed with water because of the sore throat]
Morning tea break - no appetite [don't follow this bad example, you should at least eat something - especially if you're sitting for exams, like me]
Lunch - no appetite
Dinner - plain white porridge with pickled lettuce [from tins bought from the supermarket] and pickled olives [also from tins bought from super market]

Friday :
Breakfast - plain white porridge with the same pickled lettuce and pickled olive + double dose of nutrition drink
Morning tea break - mixed rice [no choice - school doesn't sell porridge]
Lunch - plain white porridge with pickled lettuce and pickled olive
Dinner - plain white porridge with pickled lettuce and pickled olive [again]

And this morning I had plain white porridge with carrots and fresh green vegetables [finally something fresh] Now, I'm going to have plain white porridge with carrots again... I hate being sick.

Yes, I am sick, again, since wednesday, and at times like this when :
1) Influenza A H1N1 is having a great time
2) SPM trial exams just started

My mom's reaction when I first complained about my headache and giddiness to her :
1) Did you eat? [yes, I did]
2) You lack blood [my blood count is superbly nice, thank you - I just came back from the clinic few days ago...]
3) You sleep too little! [which I strongly agree]
4) Have you been around sick friends? [nope, the only one had flu and she's much healthy and well again, today]

My own reasons?
I definitely slept too late and apparently, I spent the time burning tons and tons of midnight oil prior to the trial exams which resulted in polluting myself and getting myself sick, like how men burn fuels which pollute the earth and make the earth sick. Same reason - to me, anyway [don't say I'm being last minute, I started studying 2 - 3 weeks before exams] Plus, the weather is really bad. Sudden rain and sudden sunshine, then rain and sunshine. Then, I remembered that I always lack oxygen and glucose, no idea why...

My reports [in case you're being scared - you should - take precaution, I mean]
Wednesday : Terrible headache + giddiness + sore throat [it really hurts] - no fever though
Thursday - yesterday : All the above plus a sudden high fever at night [around 38 degrees - note that it is Celsius not Fahrenheit]
Friday - today : I'm totally fine in the morning except for a slight fever and the sore throat [which disappeared after our morning tea break] The fever and giddiness kept coming in waves until now - which is, down, for now.

Notice : Since we had one confirm case of H1N1 in our school among the 1st years 2 weeks ago, there was no other cases. Therefore, unless I got it somewhere else... but let's be positive thinking [it's a normal fever... I'll be better tomorrow...] and it helps ^^"

p/s : You have the right to feel scared around me or even avoid me ;] I'm doing my best to be well again, somehow. And God helps, at these times, especially during the start of today's exams :] I think I will write about the condition I took my papers in when I have the time - cause I think I practically failed everything...

the college or university I wish to enter...

the years it will take me to reach my dream career...

the job opportunities in the future...

the minimum wage I'll get when I get for the job...

Perhaps I should consider the choices I made until this day...

Looking back...I regretted, perhaps I should have chosen the other path, the other option...

Did I make the right choice? Which is the better one? I hope I won't regret it later...

What would have happened if I chose the other options? Will I turn out to be the person I am today? Perhaps I would have a better life...

Think, think again...

Perhaps...perhaps I'm thinking too far, we're always thinking too far ahead, don't you think so?

Worries, uncertainty...How are we going to conquer them?

Superheroes? Maybe, yes, yourself...

co-curriculum day

And I'm sick, since yesterday. Not exactly a very good and nice day for me to do a demonstration in front of the whole school with a terrible sore throat [can hardly talk, let alone shout] and a slight twisted ankle [can't kick properly - with both legs - as I have to either kick with the leg or balance on the leg, which is less painful than the previous]

Anyway, I tried my best through the demonstration and broke the first plank with a right-leg-chopping-kick [with much difficulty and shame - I broke it on the 3rd or 4th try...not very nice...] and broke the second plank easily with a jumping-side-kick, using the right leg, of course [but I couldn't capture the kicks in the pictures... sad case... I'll need to ask around and see...]

And it ended [the demonstration] and I spent the rest of my time in school under the sun, and for most of the time taking pictures with that not-so-lousy camera [I just found out it's other functions after much fumbling with the camera] of the people who are marching - I can't get good shots though... the prefects chased us down just because we're not using "professional" cameras a.k.a SLR-s or, in layman's words, big black camera with huge lens... [I really feel like sharing a piece of my mind with the prefects... they were also - nevermind...]

Another day in the sun and no doubt tomorrow too... I'm exhausted, definitely, and I think I will skip taekwondo class today.

"Ouch! Very pain~" and I hurt my leg - twisted my left ankle to be exact...

I feel like kicking and punching that red and black coloured, big, rectangular and damn hard kicking pad with everything I have for doing this to my best kicking leg ever, just that I can't kick properly now with my left leg without feeling pain... [actually it's my own fault for not estimating properly and kicking too deep into the pad, but still, I want to blame something - shame on me >.<]

So now, my apparently left-leg-back-swing-kick for board destruction for my demonstration for Taekwondo Club for Co-curriculum Day is done for. And I have to think of something other than the back swing kick assigned to me to break the plank as my right leg's back swing is very weird o.O ~ Very nice of you, kicking pad, thank you so much!

Talent night 2009 was awesome! [except for the terrible PA system]

All our hard works and efforts really paid off, seriously! [skipped many classes and tuition for practice and rehearsals] However, the RM10 ticket I bought was wasted - I didn't get to watch most of the performances due to the performances I'm involved in *sobs* So I'm going to hope and wish that Wan Hong's parents did record the whole event and I'll get to waste RM10 to buy a copy from them...

That's all for now, I guess... Just reached home after my very late dinner ^^ I'm exhausted!

Oh yea, went to Sunway University for two reasons : firstly, to attend some english workshop and secondly, more importantly, to see Yuen and her public speech in the public speaking competition [for 2 others, essay competition] In my opinion, they organized an english workshop in conjunction to the public speaking competition but anyway, it doesn't matter.

I arrived school on time and we were herded up the bus almost immediately because the teacher told us the wrong time. Some caught up with the bus when the bus just started moving and some missed the bus totally... Lucky us, we reach Sunway in time, or Yuen will be disqualified.

Our school's only representative, Yuen is one of the six finalists in this competition and we were all giving the best of our hopes to her ^^ Go, Yuen! After listening to all six competitors in the main hall, we trot around [not exactly] Sunway University to a certain smaller hall allocated to the 23 schools participating [including us] in the english workshop where we learned quite some things which are useful but alas - some are not very understandable >.<

After lunch, where we had difficulty in eating the parts of chicken, vegetables and rice [we had the most difficulty with the chicken] they provided us with feeble plastic fork and spoons, we trot back to the main hall to listen to some Cambridge and Oxford University collaborating with Sunway University talk, about how to get scholarship to Cambridge or Oxford and things I'm not really interested in.

Then the price giving ceremony. We did not win any of the essay writing competition but everyone was more impatiant about the public speaking competition results [it seems to be the main event]

and we leapt to our feet and screamed >.<

Then we waited for more than half-an-hour for the bus to arrive so that we can return to school... and some song was stuck in my head... [as shown below]

It is my interest - not, to see men wearing triangle underwears smaller than their normal ones or their swimming trunks [some looks *almost* like G-string] and showing off their body muscles, rubbed so dark with tan and gleaming in oil [like black gold, my parents said]

The reason I went :

1) to support Uncle Henry [who is my dad's friend]

2) to have a new *clears throat* experience, since I've never seen muscle-men in real life before

3) to take pictures

We arrived at around 13:15 and thought we were late. Bought 2 tickets at RM10 per ticket [students get free admission - yay!] and had to wait for it to start - the Malaysian style [it started around 14:10] After the many introductions and speeches, the competition started, and I started taking pictures...

Uncle Henry took part in the Masters category, which is for people aged 45 and above. We went back after the Fly Weight, Open category [around 4:00] which Uncle Henry took part in, and left - because I couldn't stand the smell of cigarettes [it was supposed to be a hotel - I wonder why they let people smoke indoors inside air-conditioned area]

Believe it or not, Uncle Henry got 1st runner-up for the Masters category and 2nd runner-up for Fly Weight, Open category. By the way, Uncle Henry is 60+ this year [or so my dad says] p/s : Seriously, dad, you should look at Uncle Henry more carefully - you are around 10 years younger than him you know...

Anyway, I've seen enough of the *ugly* muscles [wonder why some women or girls like it so much - no offence] and breathe the air filled with cigarette smoke for more than 2 hours, I'm starting to imagine the colour of my lungs and dreaming about some kind of muscled-lung-cancer chasing after me [just kidding]

Due to some viruses in the old house computer, I'm not allowed [by my dad] to use that computer for anything, yes, anything at all. So pictures will be coming up soon after this. Oh, and this computer is my mother's which is absolutely new but lacking in plenty of softwares the old house computer has. If you ask me why don't I just install those softwares into this computer, then talk about me being a lazy bum~ XD

Exams were finally over yesterday! I've "suffered" for 3 weeks so it's time to cool the engine down and get out of the car. I mean cool my brain down and get out of the hectic exam life. You can say that I didn't even felt as tough the exam started and yet it ended - yesterday [so called not in the mood to study] Guess I'll be expecting impossibly "high" marks after the [holidays which will be starting the day after tomorrow]

Everyone is already in holiday mood and our beloved additional maths teacher [I do really like her - it wasn't supposed to be sarcastic or anything - just take the beaning as it is] gave us the precious information that our trials for SPM [school level] plus the state educational ministry's trials shall take place during september and might last for the whole month! Don't you dare say that we have a whole three months to study because firstly, there's plenty of activities and events coming up during the june, july and august period and secondly, we haven't even finished our syllabus.

Oh well, seems like I'm being a cranky, old grandmother about this but it's "party time". I mean "manga time" + "anime time" + "online time" + "reading [books other than school books] time" + "etc. time" = "party time" if you can understand what I'm trying to imply. I really need to catch up on the manga updates worth more than three weeks - I'm an addicted manga idiot [example : Bleach and Kaichou wa Maid-sama - loving Usui ^^ ] and a bookworm too. I'm lacking of books now...

By the way, this reminds me that I just borrowed an anime series [Recca no Hono a.k.a. Flame of Recca] from my dear friend, Min Ru [who borrowed it from our dear friend, Xin Lin] Oh, and this reminds me of Min Ru's equation of her name : Min Ru = (MC)^2 [read as : Min Ru = (MC) squared] which means Min Ru = Mushroom Mong Cha Cha. So much for having add maths for the last two days of exams XD

Yup...I'm definitely dead, for sure, my parents will kill me [literally] when my results are out[*cry*]

Paid the money for prom today ^^ isn't it early? [definitely, for a prom that's going on in late december] Yup!! Book a seat for prom at Rm 140 per bird for 50 early birds "only" [proud to be one - still, my purse is bleeding] For the following 50 not-so-early birds, pricing equals to Rm 160 per bird. Sadly, late twitters have to pay Rm 180 per bird [I know I'm using bird instead of head, but they said early birds ^^ - lame~]

Well, mr silly [someone funny, of course - which happens to be my brother] called the house phone when I was having lunch [just came back from school] I picked up the phone and he said this : mei, ni zai jia ah? [translation : sister, are you at home ah? - malaysian "rojak" language - he was at the bus stand walking back home] which made me *want* to say : bu zai, ju xu zai wai mian den la! [translation : not home, continue waiting outside lah! - malaysian "rojak" language] Of course, I did not say that in reality, instead I said : isn't this the house number? [with lots of sweat-ness] And when he reach home 2 minutes later, I created a new vocab - sos hebat [sauce great] - when directly translated to chinese means jiang li hai [those who knows chinese will understand] meaning so fabulous sarcastically in english [it's supposed to be lame] and threw it to him [he was full of sweat-ness after hearing it ^^ - you can say that I'm releasing stress ^^ ]

My good friend in tuition [we got to know each other in church when we were 11 or 12 years old] who happens to be in a different school was shocked, yes, shocked to see me with my short hair even though I told her that day [the day I got my hair cut]

She was like : so short! short! yes, it's very short! I mean like the difference is so big! I couldn't recognize you... [and so on]

Oh well, that's what you'll probably call an over reaction [well, a little ^^ - starting to think about letting my hair grow long again because my previous option was "curl it or cut it"]

*laughs* Oh well *wipes eye* guess suddenly cutting my hair short will have these kind of reactions [my stomach hurts from laughing too much]

Yup! My friends went like "why did you suddenly cut your hair so short" or "a lot of people has been cutting their hair short but yours is so obvious!" and there were even few "what happened? did your boyfriend dumped you or something?"or "you too stress is it?". Even my BM teacher went like "what happened to you? [that made you cut your hair]"

I guess nobody is used to seeing someone suddenly having extremely short hair when they just saw the person having long hair ^^ My closer friends was like : don't you regret cutting your hair? Of course I did [a little] but still it was a question I've been thinking about for some time so I guess it's okay to me because according to them, nobody would be happy enough to "give up" their hair just like that - guess I'm the weird one huh? [though I won't get the fun of trying new hairdos now that requires long hair - all I can do is spike up my hair - isn't it guys who spike their hair? ya right]

Anyway, midyear exam's right around the corner[tomorrow] so, guess I have to start burning midnight oil [hope it is "burn my fats" - I think this will come after exams]

Yay! Just had my long long hair [somewhere at the middle of my back] cut real short - boy style - he he ^^ [hops around - seems that I have been hyper since I had my hair cut]

Of course, my parents [especially my mom] wanted me to have my hair cut short since young until I insisted to let my hair long. However, now it seems that their dream came true ^^ Oh well, not really because their short hair means the girl's bob style, not boy cut ^^ [seems like I'm a normal teenager who doesn't listen to her parents ^^ ]

Well anyway, I got my hairstyle from a originally japanese magazine known as Mina [the Malaysian edition - I'm noob at japanese] and although I look for such kind of hairstyles in the internet I seem to prefer the one in the magazine[the ones in the websites are not bad too but I really like the one in the magazine]

Yesterday I was "assigned" [actually had to volunteer myself so that the teacher won't continue nagging - her voice has high amplitude + high frequency - physics ^^" ] to collect a certain subject's project [folios, actually] from everyone in class [except those who have handed in - 2 people, so that makes 34 more students] because I was the class committee member in charge of that particular subject...

And~ today, I was collecting their projects [and nagging them - sort of but not really - my turn instead of the teacher's] because it has to be handed in by this week, if not we'll get quarantined... [or so the teacher says] and so several people handed in their projects and I did whatever necessary [tick their names etc.] then I checked their works for them [as I did not want to see the teacher coming into the class during the next period and start scolding and/or nagging away about the project with that voice of hers - you must understand that I'm seated right in front of the class and most teachers like to stand in front of my place to teach or 'give speeches' and I will be the one going *almost* deaf in the ear plus getting rained on by drops of saliva*s]

And~ so happened that there's this 2 students who forgot to write captions under some of their pictures and I gave back their projects and asked them to at least write a short caption under every picture [since I've been taught by this same teacher for the previous year, I knew what she wanted] and I got such different reactions!!

I went to the first student [let's call her A - she was right at the back of the class] and asked her *politely* to write her captions down. She was very reluctant and immediately said she doesn't want to. I explained to her properly [as she was taught by another teacher previously] and she did not accept it and said that she doesn't mind if the teacher gives her a lower grade [she was like "whatever"] Then the student seated beside her [student B] interjected and said that they had seen projects done by our seniors without caption but getting A+ markings [she said it pretty rudely and I've not seen any of the projects she mentioned - I was also in charge of this subject last year] So I reminded them that the format had changed for our batch of students and she should write the caption [shouldn't have bothered then - I regretted later for being a "busybody" and wasting my saliva plus energy plus time] and B just started "scolding" me and nagging about our seniors' projects [I have no idea how she is involved in this - it has got nothing to do with her in the first place and she's not A's best friend - guess you call this kind of people the real busybodies...] So I didn't bother her and asked A if she wanted to write the caption [it isn't a tedious work - there's only few pictures in the project due to the change in format - probably she was too lazy to bother about it - who cares? it's her project anyway] and left the folio with her in case she changed her mind as she was still thinking and did not answer me. I went back to my place and suddenly B came up and handed me the folio saying that A did not want to write the captions and so I did not care now and told her to prepare for whatever that might happen and straight away added it into the pile of projects I've collected. When B was walking back to her place she was *sarcastically* imitating me to A and the rest of the class. Then after some 5 minutes another student [student C] came to ask for A's folio and said that she has decided to write the captions... [I really don't understand these kind of people - isn't it easier to just listen and write it in the first place instead of going on a round-a-bout way - guess she was also pretty tired of teacher's nagging as her gang got scolded most for being too talkative in class] and I think most of her girlfriends has become my "enemies" ever since [some are pretty neutral and I'm thankful]

Then I went to the other student's place and told her to write the caption [student D] and she just took it over and said that she'll pass it to me in a few minutes time [she was doing some other things at that time] and sure enough, 5 to 10 minutes later she handed it up to me ^^ which shows that this world is filled with all sorts of people [their personalities differ so much - to the extremes - that you'll think they're from a total different world]

Well, guess I needn't really care about those who did not follow what teacher wanted... [although it did them good - it'll be their own fault for not listening to teacher - she had also mentioned it in class a lot of times this year]

reunion worth 5 years

Yesterday went for a reunion right after accounts class. Seriously I was very sleepy and hyper at the same time [have you ever seen anyone like that?]

Anyway, it was the first reunion meeting I went to after 5 years ^^ so I was pretty excited in seeing all the 6B classmates after so many years. However, it seems like only 12 [out of 50, I think] turned up. A little disappointment here.

The meeting was at Italiannies, The Curve and it was my first time stepping, yes, stepping into such an expensive restaurant. The food was extravagant though [shared a lasagna with Jowinn - it was huge, and expensive - my money~] Of course it wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been. Too bad I forgot to bring my camera.

Min Ru and Shao Min was like : let's organize another reunion after SPM. So some of us were like : please choose a better place ^^ Seriously, not all of us could afford the price every time ^^ I mean, really. Not saying that it was a bad choice this time, but, you know...
